Bangkok !!

Bangkok, a great fascinating city, filled with flowers, culture, organized hectics, temples, scents, colors, super nice people and off course fantastic thai food!

You can easily reach the city by train from the airport and than with a taxi, but he’s probably gonna drop you off somewhere else then you might have wanted.

I stayed at the Chern Hostel, which was fine! Good Location and I liked walking everywhere, you really get to see the city that way !

Definitely visit Wat Pho ! Wat Pho is the oldest and largest Wat of Bangkok with its 80.000 square meters and has more than a thousand Buddha statues. Which is more than anywhere else in the country! The impressive lying buddha is 46meters long and 15meter high. De foot soles are painted with 108 prosperously images, on my picture you see a monk working on it.

Khao San Road! Thé famous backpackers road! Nice to spend your first night here, to get into the spirits and enjoy your first Chang beer 🙂

Chatuchak market is very very big! You could definitely find a souvenir here! My tip is, if you find a nice souvenir for someone at home or yourself, just buy it straight away. Even though you already have 12kilos in your backpack, if you don’t buy it your not gonna find it anymore.. The next city and country will have other stuff but not that one thing you’ll still have in your mind!

Luphini park is nice to walk through, but watch out for the dragons 😉

At the Hua Lamphong Station you can buy train tickets to almost anywhere in Thailand. I would suggest to not go in the airco carriage, waaayyyy to cold, so take the fan. And I really liked sitting in the local carriage, there’s catering all night long 😉

In the neighborhood of the flower market their are a lot of flower boutiques and there’s a big fruit and vegetable market, which I like cause then you can see the different fruit & veggies that Thailand has.

In the evening Nana district is very nice, lots of market stands alongside the road, food stands, where I had amazing fried pork peanut & coconut curry and the fried pork spicy curry with green beans. There are a lot of bars, restaurants and awesome rooftop bars.

Take the ferry over the Chao-Phraya river. Beautiful during sunset!

I found the palace waaaayyy to busy and touristic, so I went to the beautiful Wat Benchamabophit which is translated The Marple Temple. This is a beautiful quite place where also a lot of monks are living.

And off course like in every big city there is a chinese district, this one is so big! I wouldn’t eat here, but there sure is enough to look at!

Enjoy Bangkok !!
