Pilanesberg ! Incredible !
June is a very good time to visit ! It’s becoming winter in South-Africa, but here it still nice, warm and not to hot for the animals, which means you can see a LOT of them all day long! Pilanesberg is more quite than say Krugerpark or Addo Elephant park . And all the facilities are super! Everywhere clean toilets, awesome look out points and beautiful bbq spots !
I love driving through the park with our own little car ! (we rented a Hyundai i10, not a problem! 🙂 The good thing is you can go at your own pace, you have the excitement of searching in the distance trying to spot something and you can stay and watch as long as you want!
Have a cup of coffee while you watch a cheetah hunting .
Hundreds of Impalas, Giraffs, Zebras, Hippos and Elephants !

Because we just had a night flight coming from Amsterdam, we stayed at The Kingdom Resort which is just outside the park. It has a swimming pool, sunbeds, restaurant and your own bbq in your backyard. Very nice to relax after the first days of travel and spotting all those animals all day!

Pilanesberg ! Ongelofelijk!
Juni is een toptijd om te gaan ! Wanneer het eigenlijk bijna winter is in Zuid-Afrika, maar in deze regio nog lekker warm en niet te heet voor de dieren waardoor je er de hele dag héél veel kunt zien! Dit park is rustiger dan bijvoorbeeld het Krugerpark en het Addo Elephant park. Alle faciliteiten zijn top! Overal schone toiletten, vette uitkijk punten en mooie bbq spots !
Het is super leuk is om zelf door het park te rijden met een eigen auto ! Op je eigen tempo, de spanning van zelf de vertes af turen, en net zolang ergens naast blijven staan als je zelf wilt.
‘Even een bakje koffie doen terwijl je naar een Sheetah kijkt die aan het jagen is. ‘
Honderden Impala’s, Zebra’s, Hippo’s, Olifanten, Giraffen en ga zo maar door !!

Voor Pilanesberg hebben wij geslapen in The Kingdom Resort heerlijk resort dicht bij Pilanesberg, met zwembad en ligbedden, restaurant, eigen bbq in de tuin en lekker om nog even uit te rusten na een 12 uur vlucht vanaf Amsterdam !
