Sirmione is on a peninsula at the southernmost point of the Gardalake. There is the beautiful Castello Rocca Scaligera to admire, which is over 800 years old!
The village is car free and there is a small port with terraces at the water side and on the square. Because of the sulfur sources there are more than one thermal baths for you to enjoy. But the best thing I liked was walking all around the peninsula, starting from behind the castle, over the white plains and with the beautiful view of the Gardalake !
Ideal for a daytrip !!
